Lost and Found : I was in St. Jacobs on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 and lost my Samsung 9 cell phone with a pink case. It's not the cell phone that means anything to me but all the pictures I took of my vacation in 2018 in St. Miguel, Azores (Portugal)....
If found please let me know. Has been reported to the police department as well as lost... It's been blacklisted so it's not worth anything here to anyone... I just want my memories back. Thank you.

Spotted : So this has been bothing me since Tuesday and I need to share.

My son who is 8 years old went to Lacasse Park in Tecumseh with his Respite Worker. It was their first day together after a few months of me trying to find one for him with no luck, but that's not the problem.

While they were out I received a phone call from a private name, private number, it was a police officer asking if I knew that my son was with this man This man who by the way has a police clearance in order to become a respite worker, this man who I had interviewed a week prior.
All because 3 woman noticed that my son didn't look like the man he was with, so their conclusion of the situation was that the man isn't his father, so he must be kidnapped because he's calling the man by his first name.

1st thank you for being that concerned, but 2nd please people be aware that not all children with Respite Workers are in wheel chairs, or have Autisim, or Down Syndrom, some kids have mental health issues, and hidden behaviour issues and need a Respite Worker. 3rd that man my child was with could have been an uncle, family friend, neighbor or a boyfriend of mine, because my son's father isn't around and hasn't been for 5 years.

Please when being observant, you keep all factors in mind before calling 911 and reporting things.

Spotted : I had the most horrifying thing happened today leaving Wal-Mart. My daughter was eating a candy she decided to swallow the whole thing it got stuck in her throat. They could not get it out she was gagging her face went white and purple she couldn't breathe. I didn't know what to do I was trying everything and i was screaming for help. I had a couple come running up to me trying to help but nothing was working we could not get it out of her throat. For a minute she stopped breathing, gagging and stopped moving.
This older lady came running up to us, grabbed Jordan out of his arms and gave her the baby Heimlich. If it wasn't for her who knows what would have happened! I wish I would have got her name, thank God that you showed up and saved my little girl. You are an angel in my eyes, Jordan is now home and everything is good, just have to keep an eye on her breathing. When you think you're prepared for everything and something like that happens I felt so hopeless for my child. Everything I was doing wasn't helping her, watching your child trying to breathe but can't it's the worst feeling ever. So again to this amazing lady who helped my little girl I want to say thank you so much
God bless you xoxo
Spotted : The windy sky was appropriate on this special day as we celebrated the raising of our beautiful Canadian flag (http:/ / www.greatcanadianflag.com). The flag was raised at Dieppe Gardens as many gathered together cheering and applauding. As O' Canada echoed through the crowd, gunshots were fired as a part of Windsors 125th Birthday celebrations. Everyone was filled with such joy watching the amazing addition to our Windsor skyline.

All races come together to dance, sing, and the police department and the community did an amazing job with participation in the community.

WTG Detroit Police. Keep up the great work as well Windsor Police. I think Windsor Police should do a similar video like this as well. I challenge Windsor Police to do a video like this with their own police department.

Spotted : Spotted : A few weeks ago I was walking with my dog on riverside and I noticed an older gentleman who was having trouble collecting papers that went flying around because of the wind. I helped him gather what I could and once we were done I walked over to him. I gave him what I had from what looked like very old letters. I asked him if he noticed anymore missing. I took a closer look and I noticed watery eyes. He said he accidently dropped his book that had all these letters in it, letters that him and his wife wrote each other throughout the years. I told him I would help him. Every letter had a number in the top right corner and he had a total of 195. He was missing page 17 and 77, so we started looking. A few others joined in after about 10 minutes of searching. At one point we almost had 15+ people looking for he last missing page 77. While looking he told me his wife had passed away 5 years ago and every now and then he pulls out these letters that they wrote to each other while he was away from her(before texting and emails). I broke down into tears just listening to him tell me the story. Suddenly we hear a scream from a distance. This middle age man was trying to run as fast as he could to us screaming "I FOUND IT" this old man was so anxious to see the last page to make sure it was the right one. I was so happy to see that page 77 was now in his hands again. I helped him count the papers one more time to make sure they were all there. To all those people who walked by and stopped to help, you are amazing. To that old man, I hope one day I find exactly what you found with your wife. It was so beautiful to sit and talk to him for that little while.

I just thought I would share this story, hoping it makes someone's day!
As I was walking towards her I noticed a gentlemen hand her something and walk away. As he smiled and turned away he said " the golden rule is what I live by, have a great weekend." I was curious so I asked her what that guy wanted. She said that he noticed when she pulled her hand out of her jacket pocket a $50 and $20 fell out onto the floor. He picked it up walked over to her and gave it to her. He had such a great smile and she thanked him and said thank you for being honest.
Spotted : *Life lesson today* I have always had a soft spot for people in need, I have always been a giver, without ever expecting any sort of return. At the grocery store today I was going to purchase the groceries for the family in front of me, I've done this countless times before. Something different happened today! They were so grateful, but instead of letting me pay for them they paid for a few of my groceries. My heart was full & happy! Today, it came back full circle to me, when I needed it most and expected it least. There are still good people out there... If you can't find one, Be One
Spotted : Today I took my nieces to help me put some smiles on random people's faces. We grabbed 2 dozen roses which were donated by Victorias Flowers and Gift Baskets. We also had 25 $5.00 Tim Hortons gift cards. We sat at the entrance and I asked them to look around and tell me who they want to give these items too. They were off, running around with a rose and gift card in their hands. Putting smiles on random people's faces. But the rewarding part for them was when a lady teared up and thanked them for making their day. My oldest niece said to me "I'm so happy because we made so many people happy. Then it started....people randomly walked up to them and had bought them some treats from the shoppers across from us. Even people they didn't get to give a rose to were still bringing them a little gift. The smiles they brought to faces was only part of it. It was a huge deal to me that they understood why we were doing this. Thank you everyone who smiled back at them and thanked them for the little gift. It made my day and theirs, Merry Christmas. #Randomactofkindness #smiles #Merrychristmas

Team Spotted

Spotted : To my children, Every time we go through a drive-thru my kids have a blast. I started following this page a year ago. Every time my kids come home from school they want me to read them all the good stories. The stories about people who pay it forward and good deeds done in and around the city. It makes them so happy to hear about all these awesome people that live in our city. Now this is where it gets good...
The get some money every week for completing their chores, and birthdays and such. Every time we go through a drive thru they ask me to find out how much the order behind us was. When I do and if it’s something they can afford they ask if they can pay for it. I allow it and I sometimes chip in if they do not have enough on them. (It’s usually only 2-5 bucks). The reaction they get from people as they wave to them saying thank you is what they enjoy most. They tell me they feel so good after that and they love it. I am very proud of them for how much they are growing up caring about others and realizing how great it feels to do something kind for another person. They have since collected can goods/ clothes and small gifts and dropped them off at local charities and organizations. This all started with a couple stories from last December I read to them from this page. I just wanted to give you guys a shout out and possibly a story to share with others. Merry Christmas and I wish you guys a very awesome 2015!!
Spotted : I adopted Bella on July 10, 2014, from the Windsor/ Essex County Humane Society where she sat unwanted for two months. She was the very last dog I looked at and well, she chose me.
On Sunday November 30, at 10:45AM, I was bringing Bella home from her trip to the park and what she did next amazed me.
Sunday was the first time Bella refused to listen to me. We walked in the apartment building and when the elevator door opened, Bella refused to get in, she promptly dragged me into the lobby at full speed and went behind a couch and out of sight from everyone was an elderly man laying on the floor having a heart attack, I called 911 and Bella laid next to him with her paw in his arm and wouldn't budge until the paramedics got there. Way to go Bella, I'm so proud of you!!!

With the holidays just around the corner, please be careful when donating to charities

Watch out for charity scams

•Earthquake in Japan
•Earthquake in Haiti
•RCMP Fallen Members

Since fraud artists hope to profit from people’s generosity, the RCMP would like to remind Canadians to be wary of false charity scams. Consider the following precautions to make sure your donations benefit the people and organizations you want to assist:
•Be wary of appeals that tug at your heart strings, especially pleas involving current events.
•Ask for written information about the charity, including name, address and telephone number. A legitimate charity or fund-raiser will give you information about the charity's mission, how your donation will be used and proof that your contribution is tax deductible.
•Ask the solicitor for the registered charitable tax number of the charity. Question any discrepancies. Confirm the charity’s registration information through the Canada Revenue Agency (1-800-267-2384).
•Check out the charity's financial information. For many organizations, this information can be found online.
•Ask for identification. If the solicitor refuses to tell you or does not have some form or verifiable identification, hang up or close the door and report it to law enforcement officials.
•Call the charity. Find out if the organization is aware of the solicitation and has authorized the use of its name. If not, you may be dealing with a scam artist.
•Watch out for similar sounding names. Some phony charities use names that closely resemble those of respected, legitimate organizations. If you notice a small difference from the name of the charity you intend to deal with, call the organization to check it out.
•Be skeptical if someone thanks you for a pledge you don't remember making. If you have any doubts about whether you've made a pledge or previously contributed, check your records. Be on the alert for invoices claiming you've made a pledge. Some unscrupulous solicitors use this approach to get your money.
•Refuse high pressure appeals. Legitimate fund-raisers won't push you to give on the spot.
•Be wary of charities offering to send a courier or overnight delivery service to collect your donation immediately.
•Be wary of guaranteed sweepstakes winnings in exchange for a contribution. According to law, you never have to donate anything to be eligible to win.
•Avoid cash gifts. Cash can be lost or stolen. For security and tax record purposes, it's best to pay by cheque.
•To file a police complaint, contact your local police force. To ensure that your complaint information is shared with other law enforcement agencies, also file a report with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre by calling 1-888-495-8501.

For a link to this article please click the link below.
